Suburb Profiles.

Fremantle-South Fremantle.

The British flag was hoisted at South Head on the 2nd of May, 1829, by Captain Charles Howe Fremantle who arrived at the Swan River Colony on the vessel "Challenger".

For over 180 years, Fremantle has remained a colourful melting pot for people and cultures from around the world (as many working ports do).

Nestled between the town centre of Fremantle and developing contemporary coastal communities to the south, South Fremantle offers a vibrant culture, eclectic architecture and unrivalled lifestyle opportunities.
