Bring your imagination to our kids’ NAIDOC Week kids’ Craft Morning

Town of East Fremantle and Yard Property invite local kids (suitable for 5-to-10 year olds*) to the Town Hall, 135 Canning Highway East Fremantle, from 10am to 11.30am to enjoy a morning of craft and conversation.

Make an animal inspired by one of the large water birds or creatures found along the river, contribute to our giant NAIDOC Week 2025 poster, and sample some damper.

You can also learn about the Nyoongar words for animals and the critters and colours of the six Nyoongar seasons that you may spot in East Freo.

As the crafternoon session from 2pm to 3.30pm has been fully booked, a morning session has been added (10am to 11.30am). Places are limited and can be secured by visiting Eventbrite.

We’ll organise the craft supplies and light refreshments, you just need to bring your imagination!

*Please note, all participants must be accompanied by an adult. Photos may be taken at the event. Please see event staff if you do not want yourself or your child(ren) photographed.

Each year, Australians come together to celebrate NAIDOC Week and to honour the history, cultures, contribution and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

In 2025, NAIDOC Week will be celebrated from 6 to 13 July.

This year marks a milestone of 50 years of honouring and elevating Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience.
